Considering a move to Cambridge after trying out Restaurant Alimentum

Popping along to meet with the team at visionarydining yesterday I was lucky enough to get there as Chef Patron Mark Poynton was showcasing some of his dishes for some photographs following on from the previous evening of their successful The Great 8 event.

Having only visited Cambridge a few times I wasn’t aware that this standard of food existed there and after meeting Mark and trying out some of his dishes I even considered moving there.

Eel, Smoked, apple, horseradish and truffle

Halibut

Venison, plums, earl grey tea sauce

Passionfruit Curd, granita, coffee and saffron

Baked Yogurt, Cherry, blackberries, pistachio and tarragon granita

All of the dishes were sublime and the textures, flavours and produce used were simply stunning. Combinations were sensational and innovative and Restaurant Alimentum is a real asset to the Cambridge dining scene.

You can follow Mark on Twitter @markjpoynter and also the restaurant @alimentum1, for more Instgram pictures from me follow here and let me know what you think of your visit to see Mark and the team at Restaurant Alimentum.
